Makers, Making Spaces and Maker Faires
I can provide consultancy on all aspects of setting up and running Maker Spaces and Maker Faires
I established Maker Faire UK, the longest-running Maker Faire outside the US in 2009, running it with the Centre for Life team until 2016,
I created the successful Making Space at the Centre for Life, Newcastle upon Tyne. and have worked with other maker organisations internationally to develop making and tinkering resources, including the Exploratorium’s Tinkering Studio.
This, and links with international networks of makers – from steampunks and hackerspaces to fire sculptors and robot builders – gives me a strong understanding of engaging diverse audiences with making, which I can bring to your Maker Faire, Mini-Maker Faire or Maker project.
